Fast Times Racing has been owned and operated by Darryl Claydon and Wendy Nixon since 2009.

Darryl has been involved in speedway since 1989 when he purchased a LTC VW midget car. He came from racing mini-bikes at a young age, then go-karts and off-roaders with great success. After retiring from midget racing. Darryl began crewing for Allan Wakeling and the team was successful in many major titles, including NZ titles and the World 40 lapper. When Allan retired from racing Darryl decided he wanted to give back a bit more with helping out new drivers and have a business for a sport that both he and Wendy enjoyed.

Over the years, with travelling to Australia and the USA, learning new techniques and seeing what new parts are available, the business has evolved into not only selling parts, but building engines for Six Shooters and offering set-up advice to customers and helping them secure multiple New Zealand titles and other big events.
